How do I get my annual statement?

Little people / Next Step sends an annual statement of the previous calendar year in January. this annual statement is issued once. So keep it safe!

What should I do if my child is ill?

You may report your child’s sickness by telephone between 7 am and 9 am. Sickness reports for out-of-school care can be communicated by telephone until 2.30 p.m. Pay attention! it is important that you also register your child by telephone at the reception after the illness period.

When can my child not go to childcare?

Children with a high fever above 38.5 degrees. Children with infectious diseases can also be better kept at home. Always consult this with the childcare centre. Do you have a contagious disease? Report it to us so that we can inform the parents about this.

What should I do if my child needs medication during childcare?

As a parent, you must give permission to Little People / Next Step to administer medicines. To do this you complete a medication form and sign it. This form shows which medicines your child uses, what the dose is and how the childcare system administers this. An employee’s note will be added to the form when the medicine is delivered. You are personally responsible for your child taking the medication with you and taking it home with you.

What should I do if my child has an allergy?

Discuss this during the intake. Obviously, we take this into account. If your child needs medication against the allergy, then fill in a medication form.

What happens if an employee is ill?

Little People / Next Step is then responsible for the replacement of this employee.

What should I do if someone else comes to bring / pick up my child?

Little People / Next Step places great value on the safety of your children. That is why strict rules apply to the bringing or retrieval by persons other than the parents. For safety reasons, you must inform the employee in time (at least 1 day in advance) and personally. Preferably your replacement will come along to get to know us personally. So that we know a ‘face by name’. You always give the name and telephone number of the person who comes to pick up your child. You also indicate what kind of relationship that person has to your child. Uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother or a friend. We always ask if the person can identify himself so that we can check whether we give your child to the right person. In case of doubt or ambiguity, the employee will contact you by telephone to check whether your child can be transferred to your replacement.

When do I have to indicate that my child is going on holiday?

At least a month in advance. This way, Little people can take the absence into account.

Does Little People / Next Step also provide intermediate school care?

No, in-school care is the responsibility of the primary school that your child visits. Ask how this is organized at the school.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

Of course we do everything we can to prevent complaints. If you are not satisfied with our child-care, please discuss this with one of our employees. This prevents unnecessary irritations and displeasure. The employee always takes your complaint and will discuss it with the management. The management will contact you as soon as possible in order to discuss the complaint and propose an acceptable solution.
