Parents' committee

Why a parents' committee?

The purpose of a parent committee is to maintain and improve the quality of care in cooperation with the organisation. This in cooperation with Little People. The parents' committee therefore maintains contact with the parents, the organisation and the GGD. The parents' committee can also play a role in communicating with parents.

Thanks to the participation right (the advisory right) of the parents' committee, enshrined in the Childcare Act, the parents' committee has a say and therefore an influence on various aspects of childcare.

The parents' committee has the right to advise (un)solicited on:

  • the implementation of the quality policy, in particular the pedagogical policy;
  • general policies on nutrition, education, safety and health;
  • opening hours;
  • policies around pre-school education;
  • the adoption and amendment of the complaints procedure;
  • The price of childcare.

Who is on the parents' committee?

The parents' committee includes parents of children who use different forms of care at different locations of Little People, such as the nursery, after-school care and pre-school work. The parents represent all parents of the children taken care of at the various locations.

Any parent with a child attending Little People can sit on the parents' committee on behalf of the relevant location. In the composition of the parents' committee, efforts are made to ensure the most proportional representation of the different groups at the reception.

The parent committee meets at least four times a year and discusses ongoing issues and points raised from parents. Advice is also given on points raised by the Little People management. Furthermore, the parents' committee helps organise a number of joint activities and theme meetings.

If you have any questions for the parents' committee or are interested in serving on it, please contact us by phone.

You can think along too!

How. The parents' committee meets regularly, often together with a delegation from Childcare Little People. We would be delighted if you attended one of our meetings. Then you can join us in discussing issues that are important for your child and for you! The meeting agenda can be requested in advance. If you miss any issues, please feel free to let us know. We greatly appreciate this! Minutes are also taken of each meeting. You can request these at any time.

For questions, comments and ideas or to sign up for a meeting, you can always drop by one of our staff members at the group or give us a call.
