Childcare Little People was founded by Debbie Beunis. Debbie comes from England, where she was a director in childcare for over 15 years. When she met her husband Arie, she moved to the Netherlands and founded Childcare Little People in Best in 2000. She then accommodates children aged 0-13 at home.

Claire is Debbie's daughter. She inherited her mother's passion for children. When Debbie opened a small-scale BSO in 2010, Claire started working there too. Like her mother, Claire believes it is important that children can develop at their own pace in a familiar environment. To stimulate this development, Claire consciously chooses a flexible and spacious BSO programme. Children are given the freedom to choose what they want to do within a clear framework. They learn to take responsibility themselves and to be considerate of each other.

Such is the great demand for small-scale care in a familiar environment that Debbie opens her location on Johannes Verleunstraat in 2013. There, the location grew to three groups of day care, a BSO and a playgroup in a few years.

Wanting to keep her location small-scale, but not wanting to sell new families no either, Debbie opened a location on Wildheuvel in 2015. Here, too, two groups of day care, a BSO and a playgroup are now running.

Meanwhile, the groups on Verleunstraat fill up so much that Debbie decides to open another new location. This time on Emmalaan where there are two groups of day care.

Even though Kinderopvang Little People is growing as an organisation, the various locations remain small-scale. Everywhere, therefore, you see the cosy spaces, individual attention and professionalism.
