Hi everyone,

My name is Veerle van de Pas. Together with my husband Koen and our little dog Vosje, we have lived in Best since 2023. Since September 2024, our son Aron joined us, and together with our little family, we enjoy spending time together and going out with friends, day trips, holidays, visiting the petting farm, and exploring various playgrounds where we like to spend our time with Aron.
Since February, we have placed Aron at Little People Wilhelminadorp and I got acquainted with the Little People daycare.
This made me curious about my own future, and so I spoke with Debbie and Sandra and decided to make the move to work with a new group.

Since 2019, I have been working as a Childcare Worker. For almost two years, I was an apprentice on a vocational training program, and I gained work experience at various childcare locations in the region. I obtained my diploma in 2021. During my traineeships, I already worked with different age groups.
From 1 April 2026, I started working at Little People for 3.5 days a week. I work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings, and Fridays.
I will be working within both the VVE groups and after-school care (BSO Monday and Tuesday afternoons).

My day is made when I can have fun with the children and colleagues, when I have the confidence and feeling that the children feel heard by me. I also see it as a daily challenge to motivate the toddlers and guide them as well as possible, for example by practicing new words through games or guiding them in their role-play.
In the after-school care group, I think it's important that the children enjoy coming and that there's regular fun. After all, it's their after-school activity and they should be able to relax in a safe and cosy environment.

I enjoy being able to guide your children in this and also enjoy getting to know the parents/carers.
