Maaike

Hi there,

My name is Maaike, I was born in 2009 and I am studying for a degree in Childcare Worker through LOI. I will finish secondary school in the summer of 2025. And since January 2026, I have been enjoying my internship at Little People.

I've known for a long time that I would like to work with children. Working with children suits me well and gives me a lot of energy. I think it's important for children to feel comfortable, be themselves, and feel seen. 

In the future, I would like to develop further towards working with children, for example in a hospital or within rehabilitation.

In my spare time, I like to be active. I play football and go running, but I also really enjoy meeting up with friends. I also love travelling and hope to see a lot more of the world in the future.  

I hope I can be a familiar face for children, and that they feel safe and comfortable with me.
