Little People is listed in the LRK. You can apply for childcare allowance through the tax authorities. How high that allowance is depends on your income and family situation. More information can be found on the website of the tax authorities.

Yes, Little People is an accredited childcare centre that meets all quality criteria. This means that we are included in the national childcare register (LRK). As a result, you may also be entitled to childcare allowance from the tax authorities. Below is an overview of the LRK numbers per location: 

Little People automatically sends an annual statement for the previous calendar year in January. This annual statement is issued once. You will need it for your annual tax return. So keep it well!

Cancel in writing: by letter or e-mail to info@kinderopvanglittlepeople.nl. The notice period is 1 month.

No. After-school childcare is the responsibility of the primary school your child attends. Our core partner, Kindcentrum Br!cks, operates a continuous timetable. There, children have lunch at school.

You must register your child for BSO in good time. The contract does not continue automatically, but ends when your child turns 4.
Will your child turn 4 in or just before a holiday and would you like to continue the childcare during the holiday in question? Please inform our administration as soon as possible, preferably more than a year in advance due to the waiting list. You can send an e-mail to: info@kinderopvanglittlepeople.nl

Even though we are flexible, we like to know a month in advance if you are going on holiday. Then we can take this into account with our planning/deployment of staff.

We attach extreme importance to the safety of your children. For this reason, strict rules apply when children are brought or picked up by persons other than parents. For safety reasons, you must inform our staff personally in good time (at least one day in advance). Preferably, your substitute will then come along to our childcare centre to meet you in person, or show a photo so that we have a 'face with a name'. In case of emergencies, you can inform us by phone who will bring or pick up your child. You always give the name of the person picking up your child. You should also indicate the relationship to the child (grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, friend or acquaintance of parent). You also provide a (mobile) phone number of the person who will pick up your child. The person who brings or picks up your child must provide proof of identity so that we can check that we are handing over your child to the right person. In case of doubt or lack of clarity, the staff member will contact you by telephone to ask whether your child may be handed over to your substitute.

Discuss this during the intake. Naturally, we will take it into account in childcare. If your child needs medication against allergies, you will receive a medication form at the intake where you have to sign that staff may administer the medication. You should always show the staff how to administer the medication.

You report your child sick by telephone between 7.00 and 9.00 am. You can report sick for the BSO by telephone until 2.30 pm. Please note: it is important that you report your child back to reception after the period of illness! You can do this by phone between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. or between 5 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.. You can also tell one of our staff members when picking up any siblings.

Children with a fever (above 38° C) should not come to the daycare centre.

If your child has an infectious disease but no fever, please call the reception. You can discuss with one of our staff whether your child can come to reception. In some cases, we need to contact the GGD. 

Does your child have a contagious disease and may come? Please inform us clearly so that we can inform parents. Sometimes we deal with risk groups such as pregnant women. It is therefore nice to be informed in time.

Little People will then be responsible for replacing this employee.

Of course, we make every effort to prevent complaints. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with our care, please discuss this immediately with one of our staff members. This will prevent irritations and dissatisfaction from escalating unnecessarily. The staff member will always take your complaint seriously and will discuss it with the management. The management will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the complaint and propose an acceptable solution. Guidance on handling complaints is detailed in our complaints mechanism.

Television and tablets are used as a means to create calm from time to time. An educational programme is then shown, for example when the children are no longer sleeping. They then spend a maximum of 30 minutes watching a screen at lunchtime. Screen use is not allowed in the baby groups (0-2 years).
